Piscina Barcelona 2025 is committed to growing internationally and in the outdoor sector

The forecasts for Piscina Barcelona 2025 are unbeatable. With just over a year to go, the most international trade fair on the European calendar for the pool and wellness industry already has 90% of the planned space booked and the presence of the leading global companies confirmed. This good commercial start augurs well for an edition once again marked by growth thanks to the participation of a greater number of brands from outside Spain and the firm commitment to the outdoor sector, which will double its importance at the event.

Piscina Barcelona is already preparing its next edition, which will be held from 17 to 20 November 2025 in halls 1 and 2 of the Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue. So far more than 250 companies from 28 countries have booked space at the tradeshow, which is expected to occupy more than 40,000m2 gross, of which 20,000m2 will be stands and activity areas. In view of these initial contracting results, the organisation expects to grow in size and representativeness, surpassing the figures for 2023 when a total of 367 exhibitors from 30 countries took part and a record number of international exhibitors was reached, with 68% of firms from abroad.

    Piscina, wellness and outdoor
With the backing of the Spanish business association ASOFAP and the most important brands in the swimming pool sector worldwide, the event organised by Fira de Barcelona will bring together the most innovative and representative commercial offer of the swimming pool and wellness product value chain. The focus will be on advances in water and energy optimisation, the digitisation of maintenance and improving the user experience of aquatic facilities.

This year’s tradeshow is also committed to expanding the Outdoor sector (landscaping, furniture, equipment and accessories for outdoor decoration) given the synergies that exist between this speciality and pool design projects, in parallel with the increase in demand for these products in the residential and hotel sectors. To promote this new area, Piscina Barcelona is collaborating with the Spanish Association of Landscape Architects and the Barcelona Biennial of Landscape Architecture.

Confirmed companies include names such as Fluidra, BWT, Hayward, Fairland, PHNX, Productos QP, Aquavia Spa, Emaux Group, Superior Wellness, CGT Alkor, Fix a Leak, Infinitty Filter, Proteam Europe, Aiper, Ais Water, Visendum, Action Park Waterscapes, ESPA, Baeza, Piscinas Condal, Rosa Gres, SCP, Ercros, Maytronics, BEHQ, Zona de Baño, Hydrosud, Inbeca, Renolit, Thomas Wellness Group, CF Group and Zodiac.

    International connection
For international companies, Piscina Barcelona is an excellent gateway to the Spanish market, one of the most important in the world because of the size of the pool stock to be maintained and equipped (more than 1.3 million units) and because of its sustained growth, which this year will be around 3%, according to ASOFAP.

The tradeshow, which expects to attract more than 14,000 visitors, 60% of them from abroad, attracts importers, distributors, sales outlets, builders, architects, engineers, installers, maintenance companies, landscapers, interior designers, specifiers and managers of sports facilities, wellness centres, hotels, campsites and water parks, among other professional profiles.

The fair also provides participating companies with a fruitful platform for international business and networking thanks to its connection with Europe, the Mediterranean and Latin America, as it brings together buyers and specifiers from these geographical areas with specific projects related to the design, construction and equipment of aquatic facilities and wellness centres. In this regard, it is worth highlighting the Piscina Barcelona 2025 Hosted Buyers programme, which invites almost a thousand purchasing decision-makers in strategic markets with enormous potential as a destination for the sector’s exports. International delegations from emerging markets also attend the show and take part in business meetings with exhibitors.

    Activities
As a complement to the commercial offer, Piscina Barcelona 2025 will have activity areas where visitors can see and experience the evolution of innovation in the sector. It will be building its usual Wellness Experience, a fully-equipped wellness centre in full operation, which will be joined by an Outdoor living area designed to showcase trend-setting products for outdoor decoration. Thus, there will be a unique experiential area of more than 1,000m2 with an avant-garde design that will combine the latest in wellness and outdoor so that visitors can test the application of the solutions on display in a real environment.

There will also be an Innovation Zone, an innovation catwalk where visitors can discover the best solutions on display at the fair to improve the sustainability and digitisation of aquatic facilities.

The show will also include several conferences and seminars to update knowledge, as well as to reflect on the role of swimming pools and their contribution to social and environmental challenges. The Barcelona trade fair will also provide networking spaces and will present several awards such as the Piscina & Wellness Awards to project the values of innovation in the pool and wellness sector; the Wellness Experience Awards to the best wellness establishments on the Iberian Peninsula and in Europe; and the International Competition for Architecture Students award to the best aquatic project that meets the challenge presented on this occasion, which has yet to be decided.
